2017 APPOINTMENT

On August 17, 2017 Judy Parker was appointed to the Seventh District Court of Appeals for the State of Texas by Gov. Greg Abbott. At the time of her appointment, Justice Parker served as Judge of County Court at Law #3 in Lubbock.

2015 NEWS FROM THE COURT

The 7th CoA is currently (Feb 2015) taking applications from Texas-licensed attorneys for a central staff attorney position, which requires a minimum five years of experience, with strong background in trial and appellate procedure, legal research, and legal writing. Starting salary ranges from $80K to $87.6K, depending on qualifications.

2014 ELECTIONS

The only member of the Amarillo-based Seventh Court of Appeals up for re-election in 2014 was Chief Justice Quinn. He did not draw a Democratic opponent, and was reelected in the uncontested race with 122,086 votes.
