PARTICULARITIES OF THIS COURT IN COMPARISON WITH OTHERS
Because the Waco Court of Appeals consists of only three members and handles a moderate caseload, it has no need to divide itself in panels.
Chief Justice Gray often dissents with a footnote. See example below.
As of April 1, 2015, the court does not make briefs available for online viewing. Other Texas appellate courts make appellate briefs and many other documents accessible through hotlinks on the docket sheets.
The court issues opinion with the case style shown in the footer, which is helpful when viewing documents online and when excerpting individual pages or portions of pages because case-identifying information thus appears on the single page or snippet.

TREATMENT OF SELF-REPRESENTED LITIGANTS BY THIS COURT
See opinion in Cause No. 10-14-00297-CV:
We also recognize that appellant elected to represent herself on appeal. Under Texas law, pro-se litigants, as appellant is here, are held to the same standards as licensed attorneys with regard to compliance with applicable laws and rules of procedure. See In re N.E.B., 251 S.W.3d 211, 212 (Tex. App.-Dallas 2008, no pet.) (citing Mansfield State Bank v. Cohn, 573 S.W.2d 181, 184-85 (Tex. 1978) ("There cannot be two sets of procedural rules, one for litigants with counsel and the other for litigants representing themselves. Litigants who represent themselves must comply with the applicable procedural rules, or else they would be given an unfair advantage over litigants represented by counsel.")).
